For those of you who aren’t jetting off to hit the slopes or indulge in some winter sun, there are plenty of activities in and around Reigate and Surrey to keep the whole family occupied this half term. Charlie has rounded up our top picks:
R&Be active

With over 70 new born lambs due, pony rides, pig races and a whole host of indoor and outdoor play areas, Bocketts Farm is surely an ideal place for a family day out. Skywalk Adventure
You’ve surely heard of GoApe, but have you heard of Skywalk Adventure? Located in the forest of Esher, Surrey, the Skywalk Adventure challenges the whole family to climb trees, fly across zip lines and cross rickety bridges and cargo nets. G Live

Birdworld Farnham
If you haven’t already heard of Birdworld, they the largest bird park in the United Kingdom, and luckily for us they are located in Farnham, which is around a 45 minute drive away. The park sits on 26 acres and has a farm, underwater aquarium and even a sanctuary for two different species of penguins onsite! Admission from £14.50 for children and £16.95 for adults.
Horsham Charity Pancake Races
With local businesses taking part in this year’s pancake races, why not head down to Carfax, Horsham, to witness the ‘flippin’ fantastic’ fun? Put together by The Rotary Club of Horsham, the race sees participants relay across 80 metres, which tests their speed as well as skill. It’s free of charge to spectate
The Silverstone Experience
The all-new Silverstone Experience boasts a fantastic half-day of fun. For free, your kids can visit the Silverstone museum where they’ll take a journey through the past, present and future of motor racing. There is more history to be digested too, with a medieval crawl tunnel to explore, an RAF pilot experience and a replica 1940s racing car that can be sat in. Silverstone have a perfect balance of entertainment and education, and they claim you won’t find a more thrilling day out this February! Day tickets from £14pp (for a family of 4).
British Airways i360
We can’t promise sunshine on the South Coast this February, but you can be sure of stunning 360 views from British Airways’ 450ft observation tower! From the creators of the London Eye, the i360 ascends slowly into the air and gives you the best views of Brighton, the South Downs and the rest of the Sussex coastline.
