Pub in the Park

Pub in the Park will return to Reigate this July (12th – 14th) with a stellar line up of Michelin star chefs, award-wining restaurants, TV cookery show favourites and musical acts designed to deliver an unforgettable festival experience in our very own Priory Park.

We have the pleasure of working with the Pub in the Park team ahead of this year’s event, helping to develop collaborative partnerships with local brands, businesses, and music acts to help give Reigate’s Pub in the Park an authentic local feel.

With that in mind, we set-up a task force of local influencers and business owners to help shape this year’s festival, giving their input into how it could become more local:

Reigate music

Working alongside Pub in the Park, the founder of Reigate's New Music Nights, Tim Glynne-Jones and his team have been recommending local bands for the flagship booking on the main-stage, opening for this year’s headline acts, including McFly, Sam Ryder and Gabrielle.

Local senior school bands have also been invited to apply to play on the Bandstand at Pub in the Park across the weekend, helping to showcase local youth talent.

Music

Local produce

The Surrey Drinks Collaborative is on board to sample and sell their produce in a new home-grown area, we hope they’ll be joined by a growing number of local producers across the food and drinks market. Please get in touch if you’re interested in being part of this free opportunity.

Children's entertainment

An insight meeting with the task force highlighted a local interest in more entertainment for children, in response to this Pub in the Park has expanded the under 16’s entertainment this year. This growing area now includes extreme dodgeball, super olympics and inflatables, plus face painting, hair braiding and glitter makeovers available around the park.

Children will also be able to enjoy a DJ BBQ, a silent disco and Chop’s family focused fire-cooking party sessions.

Establishing a community network

It’s a very exciting time in the evolution of this event and we’re delighted to be part of helping to make it more authentically local.

“It’s of huge importance to us to establish Pub in the Park as a flagship event in Reigate’s social calendar. Your Marketing Team has the local know-how and expertise to help establish the right community network to make this happen. We’re delighted to be working with them and look forward to a long-term partnership that will see the event flourish”. - David Westman, Marketing Director, Pub in the Park

The brainchild of Tom Kerridge, the festival series is designed to celebrate everything there is to love about the glorious British pub; delicious food, award-winning chefs, epic live music, delicious drinks and above all else a fantastic time with friends and family.

Bar

Delicious food on offer

If you’re a foodie and your love of delicious food is what inspires you to book tickets this year – there are some mouth-watering highlights to get excited about in Reigate including:

Hangfire BBQ Smokehouse who will be firing up a selection of impressive dishes including a rich and tender Smoked Beef Open Sandwich, served in a charcoal bun. This Pub Special combines smoked beef chuck with ginger and garlic sauerkraut and a Catalina dressing.

Whilst Riwaz by Atul Kochhar will bring his classic style of upmarket Indian and Indo Chinese dishes. Guests can expect dishes such as the famous Tangra Prawn - a fried king prawn topped with crispy garlic and house special sauce – it’s a highly addictive Indo Chinese dish from Northern India where this is relished as a snack.

All dishes cost £7.00 each with the ‘Pub Special’ making a reappearance this year – a slightly more expensive dish that brings something a little extra special. You can expect bold flavours and premium ingredients as the chefs compete to create completely new dishes or rework house favourites.

Drinks

Great live music

For the music fans amongst you Sam Ryder, McFly, Mel C, Scouting for Girls and Gabrielle will be headlining on the Main Stage (alongside the raft of local musical talent who will have the chance to open for the Main Stage act or wow the crowds from the Bandstand).

With so many elements for every age to enjoy, Pub in the Park has the potential to be a fantastic day out for everyone….we’ll be taking to the park for an office group outing this July and hope to see some familiar faces there!
