Downs Link off-road trail
For those looking to get active this summer, the Downs Link trail is the perfect place to go off-road cycling. The route is mainly flat, meaning it is suitable for the whole family. The route follows a disused railway line linking St Martha’s Hill in Guildford to Shoreham on the South Coast. Riders are guaranteed spectacular views with the trail going through the Surrey Hills and South Downs.
Tilgate Nature Centre
Tilgate Nature Centre in Crawley is home to over 100 different species of animals. The centre is split into different zones depending on where the animals originate from, like the Africa zone for the meerkats and tortoises, the Asia zone for the otters and pheasants, and the Domestic zone for the farm animals like donkeys and rabbits. Please note the Maze remains closed and picnics are not permitted in the Walled Garden due to COVID19 regulations. The Nature Centre is priced at £6 for adult, £5 for children, and is free for those aged 2 and below. Entry is only available with a pre-booked ticket – click here to book.
