Summer half term activities 2024

With the half term break just around the corner, there's events taking place that will promise unforgettable memories (despite the drizzle) for all members of the family! We’ve put together a quick round up of local activities to make the most of your half term break in Reigate and the surrounding areas. Make sure to add one or two of these events to your itinerary and grab your sunglasses (and umbrellas to be on the safe side) to have a wonderful half term break!


Adam Aaronson Glass Blowing


Join Adam Aaronson Glass Blowing for an exciting hands on 90 minute workshop where you’ll make your own Glass Jellyfish Paperweight! Enjoy a family fun filled day on the 27 & 28th of May for £85 per person. No prior experience is necessary as you will be guided every step of the way.


Aqua Sports


This full day multi-activity camp will involve a range of fun activities both on and off the water. Join Aqua Sports for the full week to try all their water sports! If you are planning to take the plunge on individual days, they can't guarantee which sports will be on the calendar. No prior water sports experience is needed to join, and those with experience are very welcome.


Bocketts Farm


This half term at Bocketts Farm, enjoy a super family day out with the return of Superhero and Princess Week. You can watch fantastic birds of prey flying demonstrations, have a boogie in the bubble disco and pan for gold too. Daily activities include tractor rides, pony rides, small animal encounter sessions and pig racing. Great fun for the whole family! Open daily 10am – 5.30pm.


Denbies


Brand new for 2024, Denbies are running a Dinosaur Train Ride from the 27th- 31st May. Jump aboard the Dinosaur Train to help save the world! Spot all of the escaped dinosaurs through the trees, noting them down in your special dino passport to win a prize.

Also at Denbies, on the 30th & 31st May from 10am-3:30pm, is The Brick People LEGO Build where participants can build LEGO mosaics before marvelling a display of official and custom LEGO models.


Dorking Halls


Dorking Halls are putting on 2 two shows this upcoming half-term week. On Monday 27th, there will be two shows of Fireman Sam: The Great Camping Adventure. And on Wednesday 29th there will be a Comedy Club 4 Kids show. It's just like a normal comedy club but with a reduced chance of heckles! Gatton Park


Join characters from well-known fairy tales on Monday 26th May and follow their clues in a treasure hunt around the grounds of Gatton Park. The trail is ideal for families and younger children and will cost £6 for an adult and £3 for a child.

If fairy tales aren’t popular in your family, there are a lot of other activities going on at Gatton Park this half term, including a Pond Dipping experience where your children can explore life in the water. Have a look at their website to see their other events.


Magic Ponies


Magic Ponies offers a range of wonderful experiences for little ones to explore the magic of riding a pony for the first time. Throughout half term there are a selection of events being run including pony experiences at Leatherhead, Ashtead Common pony rides and own a pony for a day, so make sure to take a look at their website.


Oatlands Park Hotel


In celebration of the highly anticipated release of Despicable Me 4, Oatlands Park Hotel invites you to their Minions Themed Afternoon Tea, designed especially for children. It will take place from 2pm until 5pm from Monday 27th May through to Saturday 1st June with sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of treats inspired by your favourite characters included for £15 per child under 12.


Polesden Lacey

Running from the 25th May - 2nd June and for £3 each, why not visit National Trust’s Polesden Lacey for a game of mini golf in the grounds inspired by the honeymoon of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.


Tuff Nutterz


From the 25th May to 2nd June, over in Guildford this half term, there will be a 300 meters long obstacle course. This supersized inflatable maze is packed with 30 obstacles to complete, including climbing walls, hanging rails, balance balls and more. Leave your jeans at home, pull on some sports wear and get ready for an adrenaline rush! The course is £22 each. Visit the Tuff Nutterz website to book.
