Company Overview

East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS) is a local charity that provides support to relieve the hardship caused by domestic abuse in all its forms. Set up in 1993, ESDAS runs a wide range of support services for anybody affected by domestic abuse and violence in East Surrey. Approximately 75% of the ESDAS team are experts by lived experience.

Your Marketing Team

In June 2024, we developed a Strategic Marketing Plan for ESDAS, designed to maximise impact within a defined budget. At its core, the strategy focused on strengthening the ESDAS brand while increasing awareness of its services among Survivors, their families and friends, and potential supporters. Key recommendations included the use of videography to shine a light on the breadth of support services ESDAS provides, to break down barriers and demystify the process of seeking help. The website was also central to our recommendations, aiming to enhance the user journey, donation platform and accessibility. We’re delighted to have successfully implemented these initiatives in partnership with ESDAS.

We Deliver

  • A strategic marketing plan, reviewing ESDAS’ current marketing activity and offering strategic insights and recommendations
  • Brand progression, including Brand Guidelines for consistent application of brand across all communications by the ESDAS team
  • Working with our partner, we designed and optimised a new website, to incorporate three user journeys; multiple member zones; a Stripe-integrated donation journey, exit, accessibility and multi-language translator functionality
  • Copywriting, image selection and content development for new website
  • Created and produced a film, ‘From Darkness to Light: A Survivor’s Journey’, with Agility Films. This film has recently awarded bronze in the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2026.
  • Screening of the film ‘From Darkness to Light’ at The Light Cinema in Redhill, inviting local media and stakeholders to view the film, securing coverage from the BBC.
